Trees, forest, bushes, bitches and families

2. If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?
The Maccabees

3. What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
Guitars and 4 socks

4. Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
A massive coffee because we’re on so early

5. Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
Buzzing on sugar like every kid should.

Longitude, landscape, lake, love, literary

2. If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?
These New Puritans

3. What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
Liquorice Rizlas, travel guitar, sunglasses & 2 children.

4. Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
Just to share the sunshine (or the rain) with as many people as possible while we sing our hearts out.

5. Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
A party at my house. I was in love with Josephine Ibbotson, who – as everyone put coats on to go – was the first girl to ever kiss me.

Mornings. Sheds. Leaves. Quiet. Headphones.

2. If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?
Laura Marling.

3. What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
An apple. Orange. Banana. (Ciggies) And my favourite coffee in the world, Blend 37.

4. Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
Yes – even deeper Intimate Conversations this year. Sex is our theme. Oh my goodness do we have some amazing edits to share…

5. Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
With my first girlfriend Helen. I trod on her big toe and she split up with me.

Martin Newell – Poetry Arena – Wivenhoe, Essex

1. When you think of Latitude what 5 words spring to mind?
Suffolk, Stately, Sheep, Lakes & Loos.

2. If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?
Richard Hawley! With absolutely no hesitation.

3. What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
A pair of pink fluffy mules, a negligee, Ms Hilary Lazell, a spare invoice and of course, my soul.

4. Do you have anything special planned for your performance at Latitude?
I want to try and make the Poetry Arena levitate for a full minute. I may need some help from the audience. Don’t hold me to this.

5. Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
A quiet dinner party with a few friends, brandy, cigars and a small appreciative patter of applause when my mum put me to bed. I think that’s what happened, anyway.

‘Regular’,’stardust’, ‘homogeneity’, ‘sorted’, ‘nebulous’.

2. If you could only see one performance at this year’s festival what would it be?
The Unthanks!!!

3. What 5 items will you be bringing to Latitude?
I shall be bringing one small guitar, a packet of strings, pliers, underpants, and a new pair of cheap sunglasses.

4. Do you have anything special planed for your performance at Latitude?
Yes. And it will be outrageous. It is secret and it is special.

5. Latitude is 5 years old, how did you celebrate your fifth birthday?
On my fifth birthday I dreamt I could fly. Everything since that day has been a let-down.
