Richard Walters is offering up a free download of the B-Side of his upcoming single ‘Where We Stand’, released via Kartel on the 15th November. The track ‘Hannah’ was written and recorded with Noel Hogan from The Cranberries in 2007, when for a short period Richard, Noel and Bernard Butler formed a band called Arkitekt. The band eventually morphed into the beginnings of Richard working with Butler and Hogan on his own album ‘Pacing’.

Now set to see the light of day in early 2011 the Bernard Butler produced album sees Richard’s songs take a more upbeat direction. Whereas his critically acclaimed debut album ‘The Animal’ was a largely acoustic and softly spoken affair, Butler’s production and occasional trade mark guitar lick give Richard’s songs an uplifting pop bent, whilst his haunting vocals and the narrative depth to his lyrics remain a defining feature.

Richard Walters, who has graced the stages of the Royal Albert Hall, Union Chapel and the Zenith in Paris this year, has announced another live date in Manchester on November 5th in addition to his headline show at The Borderline in London. Both shows are with Icelandic songstress Halfdis Huld.
