In order to celebrate M for Montreal‘s fifth anniversary properly, Gene Simmons will take part of this year’s closing party as a specially invited guest host!

Already attending this year’s M for Montreal as a delegate for his label Simmons Records, the musician/businessman/reality-TV star will take part in a couple of this year’s numerous activities. Kicking things off with the Branding Battle announced a few weeks ago, he will close the event with us, onstage to introduce this thick chunk of local talents we assembled for you!

On stage: sugary electro-popsters La Patère Rose will set the tone; Pascale Picard Band will follow with it’s hugely successful folk-pop that openly flirts with rock’n’roll – Quebec city represent!; The Dears will add a note of poetry backed by hypnotizing guitars; proggy-metalheadsPriestess will bring muscles and fury to the table ; and we will conclude with an avalanche of dirty beats provided by Misteur Valaire and 2010 spokesperson : Poirier.

Seriously.

The perfect occasion to conclude this fifth edition on the edge, throw confettis all over the city, scream to the top of our lungs “I luv Montreal”: AOOOOUUUH!
