FLEET FOXES announce third Hammersmith Apollo show // Green Man headline performance // regional UK and Irish dates

With their second Hammersmith Apollo show selling out within a few days FLEET FOXES have announced a third consecutive date on Thursday 2nd June. This will be followed later in the month by a number of UK and Irish shows. Fleet Foxes have also been confirmed as the headline act as this year’s Green Man Festival

On 2nd May 2011 FLEET FOXES will release “Helplessness Blues”, the much-anticipated follow up to their 2008 self-titled debut, on Bella Union records (Sub Pop in the US). The release of the twelve-track album will coincide with the band’s first North American tour dates since August 09. Fleet Foxes have made the title-track of the album available for download at their website- www.fleetfoxes.com

“Helplessness Blues” was recorded over the course of a year at Avast Recording, Bear Creek Studios, Dreamland Studios, and Reciprocal Recording. The album was mixed by Phil Ek and co-produced by Fleet Foxes and Ek. The piece that appears on the cover (see below) was illustrated by Seattle artist Toby Liebowitz and painted by Chris Alderson. Fleet Foxes is Robin Pecknold, Skyler Skjelset, Christian Wargo, Casey Wescott, Josh Tillman and Morgan Henderson.
