The Computers – Group Identity

| On 20, Feb 2011

Exeter’s four-piece The Computers give us a taste of debut album ‘This is The Computers’ with single ‘Group Identity’, coming out on 21st February.

Accompanied by a video recorded in drummer Aidan’s Gran’s house in a rural village in Devon, and by a cover of Clash’ ‘Train In Vain’, ‘Group Identity’ is the manifesto of The Computers’ philosophy.

No frills, no electronics, just raging guitars and the pure energy of punk. ‘This is The Computers’ will be out on 16th of May, and from this single there are all the makings for a great album.

Recorded in only four days in Rancho Santa Fe with John ‘Speedo’ Reis (Rocket From The Crypt, Hot Snakes, Sultans) who tipped them off to One Little Indian, ‘This is the Computers’ promises to be an ear-breaking explosion of decibels.

The Computers are touring around UK with New York’s hardcore five-piece Gay for Johnny Depp. The combo will be playing in London on the 1st March, at Barfly. Not recommended for anyone with vulnerable hearing.
