“What A Shame Lorraine” starts incredibly brightly and at no point begins to fade. It is three minutes of infectious keyboards and jangly guitars mixed with an urgent vocal that keeps the track going. It is has a somewhat strange lyrical conceit but you will be dancing to this at an indie club near you very soon.

Flip track “Halfway To Heartbreak” manages to keep the energy going and has the best chorus I have heard all year complete with my favourite musical accompaniment; handclaps. Comparisons to the Wombats will come due to the use of vocal harmonies and the sheer fun of the band’s output but on the basis of this single, You Animals deserve their forthcoming success all of their own merit.
