Following last week’s announcement of their signing to Communion Records and their new 10″ single, Treetop Flyers have unveiled a rather fine acoustic video for title track ‘Things Will Change’ and have made it available via their YouTube channel this afternoon:

The band have also made ‘Long Cold Winter’ – the second track on the 10″ – available as an exclusive free download. As NME.com said yesterday… “There are few things in life that are as refreshing as a simple, sweet song about love and nature. Mumford & Sons have been doing an ace job lately spreading the banjo-filled ballads around the globe, and now their protégés are doing just the same.”

The West London based 5 piece recently wrapped up a tour with Caitlin Rose and will launch ‘Things Will Change’ with a gig at The Borderline on May 23rd ahead of a summer of festival dates including appearances at the Camden Crawl, Hop Farm and Blissfields. They also appear on Communion Presents – The Flowerpot Sessions, recorded in a week at the now defunct London venue and featuring a plethora of rising stars and established acts – all favourites of the label.

Full list of tour dates are as follows:

MAR 25th, LONDON, Windmill
APRIL 11th LEEDS, Gaslight Club at Oporto
MAY 1st LONDON, Camden Crawl
MAY 5th BRISTOL, Communion AT Mr Wolf’s
MAY 7th LONDON, Bushstock Festival
MAY 22nd OXFORD, Wood Festival
MAY 23rd LONDON, Borderline
JULY 1st KENT, Hop Farm Festival
JULY 2nd BLISSFIELDS Festival
AUG 27th WELLINGBOROUGH, Festinho Festival

Treetop Flyers beautifully tangled roots soak up a timeless musical current – one that follows a musical lineage from The Band, Neil Young and Crosby, Stills & Nash, through to contemporaries Fleet Foxes, My Morning Jacket and Josh T. Pearson.
