London based Moonshot blend dance beats, pop melodies and dark electronica, to create songs that are challenging yet accessible.

New album Angels Wear Black is the band’s second release on the EML recordings label and continues their prolific output that has produced six albums and three EPs since 2001. Consisting of ten original tracks, the album mixes strong atmospheres and story telling with memorable tunes, creating catchy yet though provoking songs that are equally suited to private listening as the dance floor.

‘“Superb‘ -” – Unpeeled

‘“Beautiful and breathtaking”’ – God is in the TV

‘“Sublime‘ -” – Gigwise

“Dark, distorted bass lines and layers of cold ambience are accompanied by haunting, demonic vocals delivering otherworldly lyrics which, focus on all aspects of perceived reality and experienced emotion within the collective sub-conscious.”’ – – Buzzin Electronic Music

With the resurgence in electronic music, Moonshot’s intelligent blend of electronica and pop occupies a unique and relevant space in today’s music scene. Influenced by bands as diverse as Depeche Mode, Faithless, La Roux, Hurts, Pet Shop Boys, Massive Attack, and Portishead. The resulting album is a fusion of thought provoking, dark lows and anthemic highs.
