LONDON, Friday 17 June: With just one week to go before Hard Rock Calling, London’s Hyde Park is gearing up to welcome some of the biggest legends of rock through its gates in what promises to be an unforgettable weekend of live music.
The excitement in our glorious capital is building and this year’s Hard Rock Calling will see some amazing performances right in the heart of bustling London. After two years of silence, The Killers return to headline with an exciting performance set to wow crowds on Friday 24 June. Grammy-Award winning rockers Bon Jovi will be performing a three hour set for fans on Saturday 25 June, while living legend Rod Stewart headlines Sunday 26 June performing all his most loved hits, joined special guest and queen of rock ‘n’ roll Stevie Nicks.
Other exciting performances to look out for across the weekend include The Kills, Imelda May, Kaiser Chiefs, Ray Davies, James, Adam Ant, Rumer, Train, Barenaked Ladies, Black Cards and many more – all set to get the crowds in Hyde Park jumping.
Adding to the excitement of this year’s events is Hard Rock Calling Festival TV. Produced by Hard Rock, festival TV will give fans access to artist interviews, back stage tours and exclusive behind the scenes festival footage. Festival TV will be broadcast on the jumbotrons between artist performances. Whether you tweet, post, follow or are a fan, this year Hard Rock Calling has something for you. Guests in Hyde Park will have the opportunity to get involved and let their fellow revelers and the world know what is happening and when through new interactive social networking technology being introduced to the festival for the first time.
On site facilities at this year’s event are also second to none. Why not experience Hard Rock Calling with Vodafone VIP. The Jäger Ice Truck is also making its debut at Hard Rock Calling this year, bringing their ex-military 25 tonne beast of a machine that transforms into a sub-zero ice bar area where you will be able to enjoy an Ice cold Jäger shot and giveaways.
Elite London will be at Hard Rock Calling and are on the look out for stars of the future.
