GAV HARRY MEMORIAL PARTY (hosted by Farm Festival)

On 5th May, Gav Harry – one of London town’s best loved music enthusiasts, promoter and co-founder of Farm Festival – passed away suddenly.
Tonight is the  time to celebrate the life of Gav with a big old party in London. Something everyone and anyone can join in with, in his own backyard aka The Windmill, Brixton.
Donations on the door will go to Gav’s family choice of charity, The British Stammering Association.

DOYLE AND THE FOURFATHERS
Mixing nostalgia and innovation, this teenage quartet add modern post-punk soundscapes to a Scott Walker-like vibe.
Recent gigs have included a national tour with The Undertones, a sellout album launch party at the Bush Hall, supporting The Magic Numbers and playing in front of 5000 people at the Royal Albert Hall.

ICE BLACK BIRDS
Ice Black Birds is inspired by blues and rock ‘n’ roll of the past, particularly The Stones, Cream and Creedence Clearwater Revival alongside some modern purveyors of the genre such as The Black Keys and White Denim.
The Brighton quartet recently released their third single, the hard, fast and incredibly catchy “22:22”, played SXSW and a string of dates in New York City and you get the feeling it really won’t be long before these birds take full flight – 2011, if their flight path is unhindered, could well be theirs.

BARRINGTONE
Angular goodness from Barry of Brixton legends Clor, Boomer from Plugs on drums and Connan on bass.

ANTWERP
Experimental electronica/indie sounds from a producer who has recently remixed the likes of d/r/u/g/s, Worried About Satan and Cymbals.

JAMES BROUGHTON
Singer-songwriter-guitarist, formerly of FireFarm.
