The Grace and Death of Us – Elevate

| On 18, Jul 2011

Simultaneously producing a sound that is entirely relevant and in keeping with the trends of their contemporaries, whilst standing out with their own with the proficiency, maturity and style, The Grace and Death of Us have put in the hard work needed to give their music an edge.

The debut EP Elevate is an encapsulating release that sets out what we can expect of this band. With a sound that could be best described as ‘polished’, the band have produced tracks such as Careless which offers a tidy blend of vocals and instrumentation that borders on perfection. Even slightly weaker tracks such as Ball and Chain remain memorable through its believability and its strong hooks.

Whilst at moments this release feels as though it needs that extra push to make it into something phenomenal, The Grace and Death of Us can be proud of all five tracks on the EP which I have no doubt will secure them as a band to watch.
