Fenech Soler launch music video competition for ‘Golden Sun’

| On 20, Jul 2011

Win a PR campaign from Warner Bros, 2 other official video pitches + £1,000

Having kicked-off the summer with a triumphant return to the stage at a completely packed out East Dance Tent at Glastonbury, FenechSoler have launched a music video competition with and Warner Bros Records UK, giving filmmakers the opportunity to make the official promo for their new single, Golden Sun.

As well as a £1,000 prize, the winner will also be invited to pitch for 2 other Warner Bros videos and be the subject of a PR campaign via the label’s press and online teams. This represents a huge opportunity for filmmakers looking to build their profile in the music video industry, putting their work directly in front of one of the industry’s biggest labels. Frontman of the band, Ben Duffy, has said about the video; “we’re looking for an edgy treatment; something dark, abstract and “anti-pop”. We’re looking forward to seeing your ideas!

Fenech-Soler’s debut album takes the band’s radio-friendly nous to unexpected places. It includes three singles: ‘Lies’ is a tale of lust and paranoia that becomes a glittery explosion of foot-stomping melancholy, ‘Demons’ recently became the band’s first full American release, while ‘Stop And Stare’ is their festival anthem ready and waiting, full of twitchy, urgent riffs, and hands-to-the-air vitality.

Fenech-Soler are the latest band to partner with, who have also run music video competitions for Duran Duran, Moby, David Lynch, Alicia Keys, Band of Skulls, The Temper Trap and Booka Shade amongst others. Their videos have been screened on TV, at Coachella music festival, before Duran Duran’s live concerts on their current world tour, at the BFI in London and ACMI cinemas in Melbourne as well as a host of film festivals. provides a platform giving filmmakers the opportunity to make the official music videos for featured artists and songs. While championing filmmakers from around the world and helping expose them to the international music industry, it also seeks to revolutionise the way artists connect and engage with their fans. They allow the global creative community to make and upload their own music videos for the world to watch, vote on and spread virally.
