The Crookes announce October UK tour

| On 05, Aug 2011

Not quite satisfied with dazzling no less than 1600 Dutch indie dreamers  in Amsterdam and numerous others midst 24 European shows in just 20 days, or having been hand-picked by Burberry/Christopher Bailey to play their Serpentine Summer Party – THE CROOKES’ fierce DIY work ethic has catapulted into overdrive with a full UK tour this October, and new single ‘I Remember Moonlight’. Striking a balance between wallop and whimsy, and taken from début album ‘Chasing After Ghosts’, it’s a single that shows precisely what The Crookes do best. Twisted guitar sustains teamed with romantic lyrics, you could say it’s their Moonriver, albeit with a thoroughly pained edge. As George croons “god knows that I’m falling apart, it’s not healthy. Not good for my sanity” – these are songs everyone can relate to as the band explain, “it’s that feeling you get when you look back at one particular ‘blissful moment’ and lament its passing. A memory is figured as a ghost. This particular moment is filtered through an altogether too nostalgic, moonlit gauze”. Catch the ever youthful and exuberant gents at these upcoming shows;
