Hyde & Beast – Never Come Back

“Never Come Back” is the first single by duo Hyde and Beast from their debut album “Slow Down” which will be released on August 15th.
This song has a retro 60’s vibe to it which can immediately be distinguished- from clanking piano accompaniment to the harmonies and later the use of brass instruments when the song reaches its climax.
Hyde & Beast is made up of two former drummers- Dave Hyde from The Futureheads and Neil Bassett from Golden Virgins however aside from a brief tambourine appearance this song does not centre around rhythm but around the meandering melody line that is effortlessly charming and easy to listen to.
