‘La Musica’ (The Trumpeter) is a track that oozes ‘class’ and just shouts ‘SUMMER!’ This is the universal reaction from the UK’s most influential radio DJs from Zane Lowe to Fearne Cotton.

Progress on Radio 1’s playlists has been rapid with an instant addition to the 1Xtra A list, followed by a sensational add to the ‘In New Music We Trust’ list 6 weeks before the official release date.  Now ‘La Musica’ has got the ultimate accolade of RECORD OF THE WEEK on the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast show hosted by Sara Cox which ensures 5 huge plays to over 7.5 million listeners per week.

Initially ‘The Trumpeter’ started life as a cool underground record which grew exponentially and crossed over to the mainstream. The hooky trumpet top line and unique sexy and sassy Latino style vocal captured the imagination of the nation and has united DJs across genres everywhere. It cannot be ignored, this summer it is all about ‘La Musica’.

The new vocal was destined to be a hit, it burst onto the airwaves almost instantly after being finished. It was delivered personally by Ray Foxx to Annie Mac, where she was waiting in anticipation to exclusively debut it. It was then played as her ‘Special Delivery’ feature, the reaction from her was clear… ‘IT WAS GREAT… REALLY CLASSY’.  Soon after the track was spun by Trevor Nelson firmly cementing his support then it was added straight onto the Radio 1 Xtra A-List.

Fearne Cotton then invited Annie onto her daytime show where the track was given another gigantic daytime spin. Now the track had the added bonus of full support from Fearne “I really liked that track…a lot!”

It does not stop there, Zane Lowe couldn’t help himself shouting out  “The sound of the Balearics right here on the world famous Radio 1… as the days get longer and warmer so the beaches are calling out.. Ray Foxx is in the building!” It’s no surprise that rest of the Radio 1 crew have jumped firmly on board with plays from Reggie Yates, MistaJam and DJ Target.

For those who have not yet come across the man called Ray Foxx, this is a name that will be on your radar soon. Multi talented and with a unique sound, he is joined by Lovelle, a fresh new 20 year old vocalist from London. Having already been tipped by the likes of NME, RWD and Metro, and having had her debut solo video produced by Orson & Jake Nava (the man behind Beyonce’s Crazy In Love video), Lovelle has wide experience beyond her age and is set to become one of the hottest new names in British music.
