Red Hot Chili Peppers’ live album performance to be screened to Odeon cinemas, plus UK tour dates

Premiere new video for ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’

Special live album performance will be screened live to ODEON cinemas nationwide

Multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers have unveiled the video for their current single ‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’. Directed by Marc Klasfeld who has previously helmed clips for Foo Fighters and Biffy Clyro, the video sees the band – singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer Chad Smith and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer – performing the song on a rooftop building adjacent to Venice Beach.

‘The Adventures of Rain Dance Maggie’ is the first single to be taken from their tenth studio album ‘I’m With You’ which will be released on August 29th. Recorded at East West In Los Angeles and Shangrila in Malibu, CA, ‘I’m With You’ was produced by Rick Rubin, who has produced the band’s previous five albums, 2006’s ‘Stadium Arcadium’, 2002’s ‘By The Way’, 1999’s ‘Californication’, 1995’s ‘One Hot Minute’, and 1991’s ‘Blood Sugar Sex Magik’. The album was mixed by Andrew Scheps and Greg Fidelman.

In addition, a special Red Hot Chili Peppers show will be screened live to ODEON cinemas nationwide on Tuesday August 30th at 8pm. The show, in Cologne, Germany, will see the band perform ‘I’m With You’ in its entirety as well as a selection of other RHCP favourites. The full list of participating ODEON venues which will screen the event in HD is: Basingstoke, Blackpool, Chelmsford, Colchester, Covent Garden, Derby, Esher, Guildford, Harrogate, Hatfield, Kensington, Kettering, Lincoln, Manchester, Oxford George Street, Salisbury, Taunton, Tunbridge Wells and Wimbledon.
