DEBUT SINGLE RELEASE FROM LEVITY BREAKS

Levity Breaks announce their single release on all major online digital outlets: 23rd September 2011

The Floor is the debut single release from alternative rock act Levity Breaks and will be available from all major digital outlets including iTunes from the 23rd September with a follow up mini album due for release in early 2012.

The band have worked tirelessly on this self-produced release at Mogul Studio – mastered by Robin Schmidt (Razorlight, The Coral, Paul Smith of Maximo Park) – and have already gathered growing attention on the Irish and UK  music circuit for their driving melodies and flawless performances.

Marty McLoughlin (lead singer/bass) and Eamon Lenehan (drums) of the band acquired their experience through years of playing tour support to Snow Patrol, the Buzzcocks, British Sea Power, Iain Archer, Bell X1, The Frames, The Ordinary Boys and many others.

In early 2010, Richie Lappin (Guitar) and Jonny McGuinness (Keyboard) formed together as Levity Breaks and have received extremely encouraging press and fan support including radio play on BBC Introducing and BBC Radio Ulster.

Track Listing and Running Times:

1. The Floor (4.04)
2. Debris [Acoustic Live] (4.57)

Single launch will take place at Radar, Queens University Belfast on 22 September 2011 with confirmed support from Wonder Villains. Entry to venue is free of charge. Doors will open from 8.30pm.

Levity Breaks are to begin recording a music video for their single with Northern Irish Director Darren Lee of Maverick Renegade Productions. Darren’s music videos have been played on NME TV, Scuzz, MTV Rocks and MTV.

The upcoming video is being funded through crowd-funding site Rockethub. Fans have the opportunity to get involved by pledging a donation. They will be invited to appear as an extra in the video and will be credited. Any monies raised over the target amount will be donated directly to UNICEF’s East African children’s famine crisis appeal.

Press Quotes:

Rory McConnell, BBC Introducing: “Already looking and sounding like the finished article.”

Connector TV Music Friday: ‘Massive sound, colossal guitars, stunning piano… The attention to detail is incredible. If they can create such an epic first single, what’s next? Can’t wait to hear more. They might be indie but they are definitely not the usual type. A band to watch out for!’
