FROM THE BOGS OF AUGHISKA ANNOUCE SPLIT RELEASE AND FIRST IRISH SHOW

County Clare’s very own Dark Ambient outfit FROM THE BOGS OF AUGHISKA have announced the release of a split EP with Ukraine’s legendary Dark Ages featuring Roman Sayenko the mastermind behind critically acclaimed bands such as Hate Forest and Drudkh entitled An Gorta Mór / Holodomor”.

The subject matter for the split is Famine (Ukraine: Holodomor – 1932–1933 & Ireland: An Gorta Mór – 1845 – 1852 ), paying homage to the dark past of both countries.

After a successful string of Dutch shows supporting Ulver & Aderlating earlier this year, FROM THE BOGS OF AUGHISKA will be playing a further 2 shows in 2011- their first ever gig on Irish home ground on September 24th as a pre-show to Irish Metal legends Primordial for their 20th anniversary concert in Dublin, and a Manchester date on September 30th supporting Cut Hands (Power Electronic pioneer William Bennet of Whitehouse)

The split will be available in digital format and as a 500 Limited Edition Picture Disc Vinyl via Human Jigsaw on October 31st.

Upcoming shows:

24.09 (IRE) – Dublin @ Into The Void Records

29.09 (UK) – Manchester @ Night And Day Cafe (supporting Cut Hands)
