Trophy Wife Announce UK autumn tour dates

| On 06, Oct 2011

Trophy Wife have announced details of a UK tour to support the release of their forthcoming EP ‘Bruxism’ which is out on Oxford’s Blessing Force label on 31st October. These UK dates follow on from the band’s appearance at various festivals this summer including Bestival, Latitude, Field Day, Standon Calling, Truck, and Lounge on the Farm.

Trophy Wife will play the following shows:

Sat 5th Nov – Boot Factory, Oxford
Thu 10th Nov – The Croft, Bristol
Fri 11th Nov – Constellations Festival, Leeds
Sat 12th Nov – The Nest, London
Mon 14th Nov – Deaf Institute, Manchester
Tue 15th Nov – Electric Circus, Edinburgh
Wed 16th Nov – Shipping Forecast, Liverpool
Trophy Wife took an experimental approach of using a different producer for each of the 5 tracks on ‘Bruxism’ which is the inaugural release on Blessing Force’s newly launched record label. They travelled to Berlin to work with acclaimed electronic artist/producer Ewan Pearson, then collaborated with Oxford acolytes Andrew Halford and Yannis Philippakis from Foals on the EP’s closing track ‘Wolf’. The title track has been produced by James Yuill whilst the EP’s opener ‘Canopy Shade’ brought Trophy Wife together with one of their longstanding musical heroes, Plaid.

Oxford’s Blessing Force is an ever growing community of artists, musicians and writers staging multimedia gigs & exhibitions, releasing records, managing bands and publishing literature. The label arm is run by Andrew Mears (Pet Moon) and his former Youthmovies bandmate Al English.

Trophy Wife record as a trio but will perform live as a four-piece, incorporating Andrew Halford, for these UK tour dates.
