Not being entirely familiar with the infamous genre of “disco” I’m not entirely sure I’m entirely qualified to comment on this, the new single by Anglo-French electro-poppers Black Cherry, but at the same time, this is an undeniably fun single with enough groove to make a cadaver bust a move, singer Megane Quashie has more than enough soul in her vocals to make this something worth listening to attentively, rather than just jumping up and down to in some sort of “Club” (At least, I think that’s what the kids of today are calling it…). So in all, this is a pretty damn excellent pop song, and I don’t think you need to be some kind of Studio 54 Heraclitus to know that that’s a great thing in anyone’s book.
