The Lines to play Electricity Showrooms

| On 20, Jul 2012

After recently completing a full UK headline tour, Wolverhampton band The Lines return for a one-off London date next week, playing The Electricity Showrooms in Shoreditch on July 26th.  The show is in anticipation for their forthcoming EP release ‘No Illusions, No Cheap Tricks’, out on July 30th.

The band have already clocked up an impressive amount of touring and played shows with the likes of Ian Brown, The Maccabees, Babyshambles and The Twang as well as performing at some of the worlds top festivals including SXSW, The Canadian Music Festival, CMJ New York, Frequency Festival , Live at Leeds, Camden Crawl , Liverpool Sound City, The Great Escape and others.

With a sound that has been likened to The Rapture, 2Many DJ’s and The Verve, its obvious on listening to The Lines that they have a natural knack for writing catchy yet credible indie tracks. The other great thing being that these well-written tunes can be backed up by an energetic and tight live performance.

Excited as always to come back to London, the band want to see your best moves…  “we’re looking forward to getting back on stage in London, after our last gig at the 100 club which had a fairly raucous crowd we’re hoping everyone brings their dancing shoes for a banging night”
