Break Away Kicks is the new release by TJH87. If a genre had to be chosen, I think electronic or dance would suit it, more so dance.
The use of interesting electronic instruments does give the tracks some very nice elements, though the vocal samples do prove somewhat annoying or tacky at times. I think it would have been better if they were used very sparingly, if not at all. The use of the same motif through some of the tracks does become stale after a while, though that isn’t a huge negative and can be easily overlooked. The use of manipulated vocals in the last track was very intriguing; it definitely added another element to this release. The drums are very powerful and though they could be considered overpowering in many other styles, they would be right at home in this style.
Overall, this track would be very good for certain styles of parties or for club style settings. For general listening, it would be very difficult to get into.
