DOMENICO – Cine Prive

| On 18, Feb 2013

DOMENICO - Cine Prive
Rio singer, songwriter and guitarist Domenico combines samba, indie rock and Latin jazz to create film music that supports visual scenes. He’s the son of legendary samba artist Ivor Lancellotti .

His debut solo album Cine Prive (Private Cinema) was released on November 6th, 2012 on the Plug Research label. It was co-produced by Moreno Veloso and mixed by Mário Caldato Junior.

Opener Cine Prive, initially friendly and relaxed , has a chaotic, anarchistic climax. Receita’s quiet percussion bursts out into colourful vocal harmonies and quirky guitar riffs. The pleasant Sentidos, with its minimalist percussion and instrumentation, is a summery, easy listening sound. Peteleco Zum, with its happy lullaby quality and futuristic groove, has a gentle charm.

This is experimental and original Brazilian music with vibrant, engaging vocals. Cine Prive is a bossa nova inspired album with a meditative feel and an energetic swinging quality. It’s rhythmically adventurous and avant garde with some bizarre sounds which are intriguing.

Track list: 1 – Cine prive ; 2 – Os pinguinhos ; 3 – 5 sentidos ; 4 – Receita ; 5 – Pedra e areia ; 6 – Fortaleza ; 7 – Su di te ; 8 – Sua beleza ; 9 – Zona portuaria ; 10 – Hugo carvana.
