CASITAS - Dominoes

There are hints of world music hidden behind this latest indie tapestry from Casitas and it just helps add to the bouncy, free-flowing appeal that makes ‘Dominoes’ one of those lovely little beauties that nestles comfortably in the music-loving region of your brain. We all have it, some of us just need to switch it on a bit more.

With a pumping bass drum and bass combo leading the way, there is an almost floating sensation that rushes over the piece, with the luxurious aura created by the guitars leaving plenty of room behind to allow all sorts of reverb and other effects to flood the air. There’s a catchy chorus repetition that burrows deep into your mind before lurking, ready to pop back into your consciousness at any moment. The chilled out middle 8 is a welcome choice as it allows you space to breath and reflect on the first couple of minutes of this indie-slice-of-delight before you’re once again bombarded by the uplifting single which has more legs than a millipede.

It’s gloriously indie in every way and you won’t be able to keep yourself from falling for it like… If only there were a cheesy metaphor to use here…
