SoundCloud Global Meetup Day announces Cargo as London Venue with Tim Exile LiveJam
SoundCloud invites its global community to create locally and share globally
on 9th February 2011
As part of SoundCloud’s Global Meetup Day initiative on 9th February 2011, the London Meetup has today been confirmed at Cargo and will host special guest, Tim Exile. Following on from Tim’s first LiveJam in December 2010, Tim Exile will pair up for a public performance with leading audio platform SoundCloud to celebrate the recent launch of its new record-and-share feature for the live, interactive jam session.
To take part in the jam, Tim is asking fans to record and upload sounds using SoundCloud which he will then manipulate, mix and work into the music. Sound complicated? Well Tim has been kind enough to record a short video explaining what you need to do to take part :
Tim Exile should need little introduction to those who like to keep up with modern dance production. Not only has Tim spent the last few years releasing electronic music on some of the UK’s most respected labels (Warp Records, Planet Mu) but his innovative, Reaktor-based live show has seen him team up with Native Instruments to develop plug-in effects The Finger and, more recently, The Mouth.
As part of Global Meetup Day, SoundCloud are inviting its users and enthusiasts to join in on a creation journey around the world by getting creative with like-minded users in their city to record, create and produce locally and share globally. More than 2,000 SoundClouders in 454 cities have so far signed up for The Global Meetup Day, including New York, Los Angeles, Singapore, London, Sydney, Tokyo, Moscow and Sao Paulo.
