BAND OF SKULLS announce new album ‘Sweet Sour’

Band of Skulls have announced details of the release of their new album. ‘Sweet Sour’ will be released through Electric Blues Recordings on Monday February 20th 2012.

The 10-track album was recorded at Rockfield studios in Wales with producer Ian Davenport and mixed in Los Angeles byNick Launay (Nick CavePILYeah Yeah Yeahs). It follows their critically acclaimed debut, ‘Baby Darling Doll Faced Honey’, which was released in September 2009.

The album is preceded by a single, ‘The Devil Takes Care of His Own’, which will be released on 4th December 2011. The single is currently available on iTunes here

A rather unique kung-fu themed video has also been produced to accompany the single. The video can be viewed here

Having sold-out the HMV Forum in October 2010 and more recently played a show at London’s Heaven in October, which also sold out within minutes of going on sale, the band are set to head out on both their own U.K. headline tour and as main support on The Black Keys tour in early 2012.
