Adam Lambert @ G.A.Y.

| On 17, Jun 2012

London, 9th June

Adam Lambert is the first out gay artist to have a number one hit in America and tonight he is in London for one night only at London’s G.A.Y club night to perform songs from his new album ‘Trespassing’ which comes out on July 2nd. He has a complete new band behind him and his sound has changed quite a bit from the last album ‘For your Entertainment’ sounding a bit like Justin Timberlake when he came back with ‘Sexy Back’ which was a more electronic take on pop music. He mixes it with hints of Disco and Dub-Step making an inventive electronic clash sound like in new album track ‘Kickin’ In’ which is really up tempo beats. Adam has one of the best voices in the pop industry hence why he is now singing for Queen in his spare time which is any boys childhood dream to sing in a legendary classic rock band. When he graces any stage he sends shivers down your spine cause he is quite a presence. He comes from a theatrical background so there is a lot of emotion and funked up theatrical dancing to his performance tonight which really gets you in the dancing mood, everyone grinding their hips back and forth in rhythmic motions in time with the music. ‘Naked Love’ is electronica fine masterpiece that hits at heartstrings and drowns you in emotion and ‘Cuckoo’ is insane but classic in it’s own right. He ends with the new single ‘Never close my Eyes’ which is already an anthem on the gay circuit. This is an amazing show by one of the best artists to come out of a reality show and he has come millions of miles away from that scene he is now an artist in his own right and what an artist, watch out for him destroying Hammersmith Apollo for three nights with Queen next month.
