It must be reissue season at Universal and their labels as yet three reissues are released. This time is The Kinks reissuing their first three albums (Kinks, Kinda Kinks and The Kink Kontroversy), repackaged in a Deluxe Edition, backed up with alternate versions, BBC live recordings, unreleased tracks.
It must be said the timing is right as the spring season seems to be approaching, and nothing goes better than the poppy, happy sound of The Kinks with a good sun shining day. Get ready to re-explore (or explore, if you are way too young and you wonder who’s that Ray Davies boy who will curate this years’ Meltdown Festival) with their fabulous songs, from I Took My Baby Home to the unforgettable You Really Got Me, from Naggin’ Woman to You Shouldn’t Be Sad, from Milk Cow Blues to Till The End Of The Day. Their 60s catchy sound will make your day better, it’s a promise.
