“Deleted Scenes From the Cutting Room Floor is so thoroughly joyous and cleverly thought out it’s almost impossible not to be seduced by it … a great album” – BBC Music

The swinging, sassy sound of Caro Emerald is one that has inspired feet moving and people talking all over Europe. Effortlessly mixing 50’s chic with a poppy vigour and contemporary DJ effects, ‘That Man’ is Caro on upbeat form, simultaneously at her most intoxicating and intoxicated.

“Easy to like, hard to resist: a real find” – **** – Daily Express

“A truly classy piece of work”- **** – Mail on Sunday

Caro’s debut album ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ is a classy melange of influences and styles, taking in samba, jazz, bossa nova, salsa and calypso with a 21st century sheen. Looking at the world through the album’s sepia-tinged filter, Caro has crafted a world full of stolen glances at mysterious strangers, boozy afterparties and rules that are made to be broken.

Caro’s first three singles have all shared a winning combination of assertive lyrics, whipsmart delivery and poppy Americano hooks. ‘A Night Like This’, ‘Riviera Life’ and her ubiquitous, immediate debut ‘Back It Up’ have all been A-listed by BBC Radio 2 as well as going into heavy rotation on radio stations across the UK.

The story of Caro Emerald could be ripped straight from one of her own songs, as it is one of “right place, right time.” The Dutch singer made her debut with an impromptu performance of ‘Back It Up’ on national TV in her homeland, leading to a clamour to hear more and sales records being broken – in Holland her debut has spent 30 weeks at number one, overhauling the mark set by Michael Jackson’s ‘Thriller.’

“A cross between Lily Allen and Jessica Rabbit this is sassy stuff. Don’t miss out! Retro loveliness” – ***** – Star Magazine

Just as starring on TV lit the torch back home, so Caro’s appearances on UK TV have sparked her meteoric rise into the Top 10 on these shores. Having taken an extended break in the spring after emergency surgery for a vocal polyp that prevented her from singing, Caro’s most recent single ‘A Night Like This’ was released in May and accompanied by a performance on ‘This Morning’ that saw her album sales increase dramatically almost overnight.

“There’s no reason why waves shouldn’t be made this side of the North Sea” – Mojo

“A lovely little find” – **** – Boyz

With the summer months approaching, Caro’s smouldering vocals and suggestive lyrics combine with her alluring, swaying sound for a blissfully carefree poolside vibe. ‘That Man’ and ‘Deleted Scenes From The Cutting Room Floor’ are the perfect warm day’s remedy.
