Bearded Theory Festival appoints Thornbridge Brewery to run bars, create exclusive festival ale

Bearded Theory Festival, taking place at Kedleston Hall in Derby between 18th – 20th May, have announced that local brewery Thornbridge have been appointed to provide all on-site bars at the 5,000 public capacity event.

Thornbridge will also have an exclusive ‘Bearded Theory’ festival ale on sale to mark the occasion.

Underlining Bearded Theory’s commitment to supporting local businesses, it is fitting that the Thornbridge Brewery is located in in Bakewell, just 20 miles from the festival site.

Thornbridge will be providing an enhanced selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including 3 hand pulled ales, 3 ‘real’ ciders and of course, the ‘Bearded Theory’ festival ale. Prices for a pint will start at just £3, making the event’s bars comparable with local pub prices. They will supply over 40 event staff and expect to sell over 50,000 pints over 3 days!

Steve Blount from Bearded Theory says, “We are delighted to be working with Thornbridge Brewery on this most crucial aspect of our event. With their experience of running a successful venue, Thornbridge have a great track record working with live music. We are all looking forward to supping a pint of ‘Bearded Theory’ in the bar at some point over the weekend.

Simon Webster, Thornbridge’s Chief Operating Officer adds, “Being able to supply and serve our beers at Bearded Theory is something we are really excited about. It fits very well with our approach, as I believe we share the same ideals with the Festival organisers; to deliver a quality product and have some fun along the way. We look forward to a working with them and being involved in this fantastic Festival“.

Tickets for Bearded Theory are still available, priced at £74 (Adults), £40 (Under 16’s), £25 (Under 12’s) and Under 5`s are free (ticket is still required).
