This checklist will guide you through each step of the process so that you can relax and enjoy your event without worrying about the details.

Decide on the start and end time, the length of the meal (if there is one), and any breaks scheduled during the evening. Next, you should estimate the time for arrival and departure, as well as transportation. If there is a formal registration process, add extra time to this section. The best time to send invitations is four to six weeks before the event, or six to eight months before if you’re planning an anniversary party.
