Stereophonics, The Who, Kasabian To Release Charity Single by Stuart Cable

Stereophonics, The Who and Kasabian are among the acts supporting the release of a new song by the last band of late drummer Stuart Cable.

The song by Killing For Company, featuring the former Stereophonics sticksman, is called ‘Former Mining Town’ and will be released as a download on July 25 with profits going to the Teenage Cancer Trust and the Ty Hafan Children’s Hospice.

Savoir Adore, the Brooklyn duo due to release their awaited debut album in August, play at Camden KOKO tonight. With the tough task of performing before Nightbus, Savoir Adore managed to get the room filled with enthusiastic people from the very first note played.

Gorillaz are set to take their Plastic Beach around the world later this year.  The band have today confirmed they play 20 shows in North America (including their first ever show at Madison Square Garden), 10 nights across Europe, including 2 nights at London’s 02 Arena, before heading to Asia and down under for 7 shows.

The Libertines To Play Reading Warm Up Gig In London!

The Libertines are set to warm up for their performances at the Reading And Leeds Festivals next month by playing the HMV Forum in London.

Co-frontman Carl Barat told BBC Newsbeat that the reunited band will headline the Kentish Town venue before playing Leeds Festival on August 27 and Reading Festival on August 28.

The show will be The Libertines’ first full gig as a four-piece since they split in 2004. Details of the gig are yet to be announced.
