ABOVE & BEYOND – We’re All We Need

Above & Beyond keep their reputation at the highest of levels and there is a very clear reason why…
Their ability to create truly uplifting melodies, vocals and deeply emotional lyrics allows listeners to engage with music on a whole other level. With this and their overwhelming connection with fans all around the world, it is no surprise why they are kings in the world of dance music.
This leads me onto their new(ish) single ‘We’re All We Need’ as premiered last month on Pete Tongs Radio 1 show. The single and namesake of their new album released in January opened up their very recent sell out show ABGT100 at Madison Square Garden, where it plays out loud and true and hits like an instant drug.
With heavenly Above & Beyond piano chords opening the song, we are presented with beautiful and almost chilling vocals from previous collaborator Zoë Johnston. An addictive bass line over the top transports us through emotional progression and euphoric synths that pull the song together with quality.
The trio describe the new album as a body of work that places human relationships at its core and explores the experiences and emotions that bind us. ‘We’re All We Need’ encapsulates this very motive perfectly. A wonderful listen, an instant hit, and only one song out of 16 on the eagerly anticipated third studio album We Are All We Need from Above & Beyond.
