Green Day headline I-Day Festival 2012

Green Day have announced another European festival headline show for later this year.

The band, who confirmed earlier this year that they had entered the studio to record the follow-up to 2009′s ’21st Century Breakdown’, will headline I-Day festival in Bologna, Italy on September 2.

The Italian show is the third date the band have confirmed for 2012, having previously announced headline slots at Japan’s Summer Sonic festival and France’s Rock En Seine event. Both those shows will take place in August.
