Avenged Sevenfold, hail from Huntingdon Beach, California and are classed as a metal band. The band formed in 1999, and over the years, have gained an immense following, this all the while experiencing the greatly publicised death of their drummer, Jimmy Sullivan, popularly known as The Rev.
However, that awful tragedy aside, Avenged Sevenfold have become an enormous band since 1999, with ‘Hail To The King’ being released as a lead single, as well as an album with the same title, being catapulted to the UK number one album spot.
The album Hail To The King is Avenged Sevenfold’s, or AX7 to fans, sixth studio album release and eighteenth single to date.
‘Hail To The King’ is filled with the electric guitars blasting out from Axe men Synster Gates ,with lead guitar , and Zachy Vengence, who has control of rhythm guitar, while plenty of crashing symbols clash and then finally the vocals of M Shadows growl: “Watch your tongue, or have it cut from your head!”
This new single ‘Hail To The King’ is an excellent metal song, to be played at 11, while playing air guitar, I guess. Seriously though, everything someone needs in a metal anthem – heavy guitars, where feedback rings out at the end, growling lyrics full of venom and angst and hard hitting drums, which define the song for its genre. All factors mean ears are left ringing.
The track ‘Hail To The King’ is an awesome lead single and leads one to believe the album will be packed full of belters like this heavy metal offering.
