Once both parts of the band Bazooka Boppers, who they released two albums with, after the band’s break-up Mona and Maria continued on as an act in their own right. ‘My Sun’ combines bright harmonies and acoustic guitars but with an electric force breaking through at times, like a storm. The blend of acoustic and electric makes for an ambient sound and helps give the music a feeling of weather. The two voices come together as one entity of force while both being steadfast voices in their own right. The song is beautifully arranged thematically, deep enough to have meaning but shallow enough to be commercial.
